September Update

It's been a busy few weeks. After an all too brief holiday, it was straight back into the thick of things - never a dull moment for me.

Company Update

Well, times are exciting at the moment: last week Cognite confirmed another contract - to supply front end development expertise to a Reading based start-up, Instant Access Technologies. I'm looking forward to working with them to expand their existing number of widgets, support their ambitious aims for the number of live Web Navigators they have, increase their usage of third party content and decrease the code footprint.

Back at work

Am now back from Scotland and ploughing away with more widget redesigns for a client's three live sites:
- Internet Shopping Is Safe (ISIS): http://isisaccreditation.imrg.org/
- REL: http://myportal.relfm.com/
- Zabidoo: http://www.zabidoo.co.uk/webnavigator.html
and working on others which are soon to be live.

The Scotland photos and trip report will be up on http://www.travellingkayak.com/ soon.

Scotland Trip Planned

The Easter holidays are coming around, and that’s the time of year I take a week off web development and head up to the Highlands to help guide the Reading University Canoe Club on their annual Scotland trip.

Trip Dates: 21st to 29th March (5 business days)

Last day of work: Friday 20th March (early finish at 3:30pm)
First day back at work: Monday 30th January

Windows Media Streaming Widget

An interesting project I've had recently has been to create a 'widget' for playing audio streams.

New Blog!

Well, I've been meaning to get my blog back online for a while. Looks like I have now. I know there is some useful stuff in my old blog that I will get online in the next few weeks. I'll try and use this and my twitter account to keep you all informed with what I'm up to and what new technologies I'm working on at the moment.

Have fun out there,
David.
